The Management Board is responsible for the organization of NAKE. It appoints the Director and elects the Fellows of the network, who can nominate new Fellows to the Chairman of the Management Board. Fellows of NAKE are elected on the basis of the quality of their research activities and their willingness to contribute actively to NAKE's activities.

The Educational Program Committee and the Director are responsible for the teaching program of NAKE. The Director is also responsible for all other academic aspects of the network, including the organization of workshops twice a year, monitoring of graduate students and, in general, the responsibility of maintaining the high quality of teaching and research activities covered under the umbrella of NAKE.
